WHERE CAN I TRADE IN MY USED CARHARTT PRODUCTS?

Trade-ins can be mailed-in or brought to any Carhartt Company Store, excluding our factory stores. We encourage you to visit our trade-in FAQs to learn more, including our category and condition eligibility, before starting the mail-in process or visiting your local store.

WHAT ARE THE TRADE-IN ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS?

Carhartt Reworked is only able to accept men's and women's gear in the following categories:

  • Outerwear
  • Bib Overalls & Coveralls
  • Vests
  • Shirt Jacs, Wovens & Knits
  • Hoodies & Sweatshirts
  • Pants, Jeans & Shorts


We are unable to accept gear that is:

  • Non-Carhartt gear
  • Carhartt gear deemed unrepairable
  • Carhartt gear older than 10 years
  • Carhartt gear from the following categories: Accessories, Base Layers, Flame-Resistant Gear, High-Visibility Gear, Kids Clothing, Pet Gear, Scrubs & PPE, Shoes, and T-Shirts
  • Outerwear, Bib Overall & Coveralls, Vests, Hoodies & Sweatshirts, Shirt-Jacs, Pants & Jeans below an original $49.99 MSRP will not be eligible for a trade-in digital gift card


Additionally, we only accept items that are in good condition and perfectly functional. When collecting your gear, please review and inspect the following before trading in.

We are unable to accept gear that is not cleaned or laundered and in the following conditions:

  • Missing/illegible original in-seam tag that contains the style number and product information
  • Permanent marks or stains including but not limited to paint, dirt, grease, bleach/detergent, etc.
  • Inconsistent fading or discoloration
  • Any peeling, fraying, or unthreading
  • Damaged gear such as items with holes, broken zippers, and rips
  • Missing and/or incomplete fastenings such as buttons or snaps
  • Odor or pet hair
  • Altered, embroidered, or customized gear

*Please also make sure any personal items or belongings are removed from pockets.

Please note that for trade-in by mail, we are unable to return any gear once it has been shipped, regardless if it was approved or declined for credit. However, if you bring your gear to one of our participating Carhartt Company store locations, you are able to take any item(s) back if it is not accepted to trade in for credit.

HOW MUCH CREDIT WILL I RECEIVE FOR MY GEAR?

Below are the estimated trade-in values for the eligible categories we accept (both men's and women's). Your payout credit will be determined after each item is inspected for its eligibility, including condition:

Jackets & Coats: $25.00
Bib Overalls & Coveralls: $20.00
Vests: $15.00
Hoodies & Sweatshirts: $15.00
Shirt Jacs, Wovens & Knits: $10.00
Pants, Jeans & Shorts: $5.00

Please note that for trade-in by mail, we are unable to return any gear once it has been shipped, regardless if it was approved or declined for credit.   • PUT YOUR OLD JEANS TO GOOD USE

    Bring your old jeans to the Carhartt store and we’ll work with Cotton’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program to repurpose them and help reduce clothing waste.

    Jeans must be at least 90% cotton. Blue jeans Go Green ™ is a trademark of Cotton Incorporated.
